INSTRUCTOR
I'm a photographer and educator reshaping what family photography can be. I've spent the last 18 years transforming family photos from a dreaded oblgiation, into an experience that's looked forward to. Now I teach other photographers how to do the same with my Family Posing Playbook - how to lead any family into real connection using my Play-Scan method. Even when the famiily shows up stiff and scared to open up. I created the Sandbox because the question I kept getting over and over from my studnets was, "Okay, I can do this work now. How do I find the families who want it?" The Sandbox is the room I wish I had ten years ago when I was asking myself that same question in my photography business.
And because I believe we have the power to make the world a better place, one family at a time, through our art.

Is there a commitment?
DO I NEED TO HAVE TAKEN FAMILY POSING PLAYBOOK FIRST TO JOIN?
No. They're designed to work together, but you can join either one on its own. FPP teaches the session craft. The Sandbox is the business, the practice, and the community around it. Many members do both. And there's a natural flow from one to the other (FPP teaches how to make work and pose families with real connection, the Sandbox is how to find the clients who want that kind of connection). But taking FPP is not a requirement to joining the Sandbox.
What's the difference between Family Posing Playbook and Sandbox?
FPP teaches the craft: how to create real connection at the session with the family in front of you. The Sandbox is what comes next: how to attract clients who are obsessed with that kind of work, keep deepening your practice, adn do it alongside other photographers in the same shift.
Do I need a certain level of experience or shoot a certain style to join?
No. The Sandbox is values-based, not style-based. It doesn't matter if you shoot light and airy or dark and moody, film or digital, posed or documentary. If you care about serving families well and want to build a business that doesn't depend on social media, you belong here. Whether you're in your first year or your fifteenth - the room meets you where you are.
